Guidance on family communication for NHS staff

The NHS has launched new guidance for key workers on how to communicate with their children and family about the challenges facing them during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The guidance, available on the NHS Our People website, is aimed at helping key workers talk to children and other family about their role, and how it impacts on family life.

It offers advice on how and when to bring up difficult conversations about COVID-19 issues, dealing with emotions and getting support from relatives and colleagues.
