To generate these figures, your total QOF income in each category is compared with what you would have earned if achieving full points and the 80th percentile of CCG or national prevalence, as selected.

The standard GP contract QOF payment formulae are used to calculate your actual income and your potential income at full points and 80th percentile prevalence. Your potential income is then subtracted from your actual practice income to calculate the difference.

Income is calculated according to the GP contractual payment formulae, based on your points achievement, the current value of a QOF point and your Contractor Population Index and, where applicable, the Adjusted Practice Disease Factor or Target Population Factor.

Your prevalence is compared with the 80th percentile of prevalence for your CCG or England, as selected, to calculate the variance. A lower prevalence is converted to the number of patients this represents based on your list size.
To calculate any potential missed income, standard GP contract formulae are used to first calculate your actual income, and your potential income at current points and 80th percentile prevalence. Your potential income is then subtracted from your actual practice income, to calculate the difference.
